CTC-Union Bank Final Clash in 2022 Mumbai Hockey Championship

The winning streak of Champions Training Centre (CTC) was halted in their last league match by Mumbai Customs but their power-packed performance in their first four games was more than enough to secure them a final berth of the 2022 Mumbai Hockey Championship being played at the MHA Stadium in Mumbai. The CTC lads would lock horns with Union Bank in the final – interestingly two teams waged a grim battle in their league encounter where CTC won 3-2.

Like CTC Union Bank have also won four of their five league matches and it could be anybody’s game in the final. Mumbai Customs and Central Railways fought hard but early reverses did them in. Central Railway B Republican Sports Club had the solace of routing Republican Sports Club 8-0 in their last league game. Republican Sports Club finished winless, conceding 32 goals in five games.
