Spain Sets New Record for Posting Biggest Win in Junior Men’s World Cup

Spain created a new record for scoring the most number of goals in a Junior Men’s Hockey World Cup when they routed hapless USA 17-0 at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneshwar. Interestingly, a few hours before the Spain-USA match got underway on Thursday, Argentina created a new record for posting the biggest win in the Junior Men’s Hockey World Cup when they hammered Egypt 14-0. Argentina had broken the 39-year-old record of India beating Singapore 13-0 in the 1982 edition held at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Interestingly, India racked up their second biggest win in the Junior Men’s Hockey World Cup as they walloped Canada 13-1, which is the fourth biggest win in this showpiece event.
