Colin Batch’s Win-Loss Record as Australia Men’s Hockey Team Coach
Colin Batch took charge of the Australian men’s hockey team from 2017 onwards after he was appointed in December 2016. The Melbourne-based former Kookaburras midfielder made 175 international appearances and scored 61 goals between 1979 and 1990. Colin was a member of the gold medal-winning Australian team at the 1986 World Cup as well as bronze medallists at the 1982 and 1990 World Cups. He also competed at the 1984 and 1988 Olympics.
On the coaching front, Colin also served as coach of the Belgium Men’s Hockey Team between 2010-2012 as well as coach of the New Zealand Men’s Hockey Team between 2012 and 2016. He was also Assistant Coach of the Australian men’s hockey team between 2001 and 2008. Colin was named the FIH Men’s Coach of the Year in 2019. He stepped down as Kookaburras coach following their quarterfinal exit at the 2024 Paris Olympics after nearly an eight-year stint with the national side.
