Max Caldas’ Win-Loss Record as Spain Men’s Hockey Team Coach

Max Caldas took over the reins of the Spain men’s hockey team after the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, where they had finished eight under French coach Federic Soyed, who had a lenghty seven-year coaching stint with the Redsticks.

Caldas, a former Argentinian defender, who had featured in the 1996 Atlanta Olympics and in the 2004 Athens Olympics, has had a highly succesful as Dutch women’s hockey team coach – the 48-year-old guided the Dutch girls to the 2012 London Olympics gold as well as the 2014 World Cup gold at The Hague.

Married and subsequently divorced from former Australian celebrated striker Alyson Annan, who is now the current China’s women hockey team coach, Spain hockey can only look up under shrewd Caldas.
