Greg Nicol’s Win-Loss Record as New Zealand Men’s Team Coach
Greg Nicol was appointed New Zealand men’s hockey coach in December 2021 after the national side’s disappointing second-last finish at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics. The 49-year-old former ace forward had represented South Africa at the 1996 and 2004 Olympics, scoring an impressive 244 goals from 200 internationals. He made his debut as Black Sticks men’s team coach in the 2022 Four Test Series against Australia. Under Nicol, New Zealand reached the quarterfinals of the 2023 World Cup at Bhubaneshwar.
