Craig Fulton was appointed the Indian men’s hockey team coach in March 2023 following the stepping down of Australia’s Graham Reid from the ‘hot seat” after the national team’s disappointing performance at the 2023 World Cup at Bhubaneshwar, where they failed to make it to the quarterfinals. A two-time Olympian, Fulton who made 195 international appearances for South Africa, officially took charge during India’s 2023 FIH Pro League campaign at London in May-June.
The 49-year-old who had successful coaching stints in Ireland and Belgium, has been coaching the national team in prestigious tournaments such as the 2024 Paris Olympics, FIH Pro League 2023 Asian Games, 2023 Asian Champions Trophy among a host of others have been able to carve out a decent reputation as a coach of the men in blue.
